I think the library is important to the community because: Reading is essential in a civilized world. The exchange of ideas and the acquisition of information are hallmarks of an educated citizenry. Like our schools, strong public libraries are significant to the economic development of our community.
I was inspired to become a member of the board because: I believe in volunteering within my community where I can donate skills and talents I've acquired through my education and work life.
My favorite way to use the library is: I'm a strong online user. I love eBooks and audiobooks that I can access online from the library's web page. I also love finding an author I like and browsing the book shelves to see what else that author has written.
My favorite book is: I have many. Last year it was Friday Night Knitting Club. This year itís anything by Reichs, Cornwell, Jance and Lescroart.
Interests/Hobbies: When I'm not reading, I'm knitting, cooking, traveling, walking my dog, Wyatt, or watching grandchildren perform in music and sports.
